 PAST ACTIVITIES:

On May 19, 2005--Bellevue, WA: "Framework Solution for Life Cycle Security" was presented at IEEE's Northwest Electronics Technology Conference. The talk included an overview of the final revision of IEEE P1074 Standard for Developing Software Life Cycle Processes currently being ballotted, and described the Life Cycle Security Framework that the addition of new security activities describes in the revised standard. On January 28--Seattle, WA "IT Regulatory Staffing" was presented to recruitment staff members of K-Force. The talk provided an overview of current regulatory mandates and what  professional security skills are needed for organizations to meet Sarbanes-Oxley, U.S. Patriot Act and other compliance mandates.

Februay 17-19, 2005 - Sacramento, CA.  The final face-to-face meeting of the IEEE P1074 Standard for Developing Software Life Cycle Processes revision group took place which confirmed the final draft to be submitted for ballot. This draft includes substantive guidance for integrating information security into the SDLC.  Bar Biszick-Lockwood is Team Lead for the Information Security Assurance sub-team that has submitted these recommendations to elevate the visibility and priority of security activities in the development life cycle.

On November 15, 2004 Bar did an hour and a half presentation on "Framework Solution for System Life Cycle Security" to the technology and development professionals working for the King County Metro of Seattle. The talk provided an overview of the two day workshop of the same name. This seminar is closed to the public.
